Jimena Rivas, MD, is a compassionate, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who is dedicated to providing personalized, attentive care for women at all stages of life. She serves patients at Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology, LLC, with offices in Lebanon, Branchburg, and two locations in Flemington, New Jersey. Dr. Rivas has special expertise in general and high-risk obstetrics, menopause management, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexual dysfunction, and contraception.

Dr. Rivas earned her medical degree from Universidad de Caldas in Manizales, Colombia, and completed her first residency at Rita Arango Álvarez del Pino Medical Center. She then moved to the United States, where she completed residency training at both Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. During her training, she served as chief resident, earned a clinical excellence award in obstetrics, and received the Finn and Kim Wentworth Award for Resident of the Year.

With extensive experience at a level III maternity center, Dr. Rivas is highly skilled in managing complex and high-risk pregnancies. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is fluent in both English and Spanish. In 2023, she was named to Castle Connolly’s Top Hispanic and Latino Doctor List, an honor recognizing exceptional physicians serving Hispanic communities with outstanding expertise, patient care, and contributions to healthcare.

Outside the office, Dr. Rivas loves spending time with her three young children. She enjoys crafting, cooking, dancing, and being outdoors.
